About Us
Imam Reza Hospital is related to Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in Iran with around 500 beds and different wards.
The Accident and Emergency Department disposes of 50 beds in Imam Reza hospital with triage, CPR room, critical care unit, trauma ward, minor surgery unit, outpatient clinic, casting room, emergency sonography , emergency echocardiography, laboratory, radiology, and CT scan.
Our Accident and Emergency department (A&E) is equipped and staffed to provides 24-hour service for trauma and non-trauma surgical and medical emergencies.
Our department includes an animal laboratory facility in which newly recruited A&E residents and junior doctors practice surgical emergency procedures including: Emergency cricothyrotomy, tracheostomy, different types of wound exploration and arterial ligation, chest tube and central venous line insertion, peritoneal lavage and emergency thoracotomy.
The center receives a large number of patients with wide range of critical emergency scenarios approximately 85,000 per year.
The wards are supervised on 24-hourly basis by board-certified consultants providing a unique educational environment for our physicians in training.
